4/1/2011 - Bank Robbery

On 03/28/11 at approximately 6:24 p.m. the La Crosse Police Department responded to 3956 Mormon Coulee Rd the Associated Bank (Shelby Quillins) for an armed robbery.

 

The suspect was described as:

·         White male – light white stubble on his face

·         About 50 years old

·         5’10”  180 to 200 lbs

Clothing Description:

·         Black hooded sweatshirt, black coat over top

·         Blue jeans with white tennis shoes

·         Carrying a black and red back pack

 

Initial reports indicate the suspect entered the facility walked to a teller and told him he had a weapon and demanded money from the employee.  The suspect did obtain an undetermined amount of money and fled on foot south bound from the bank. 

 

At this time investigators are collecting evidence and a search for the suspect is continuing.

4/6/2010 - Wanted Persons

The La Crosse Police Department is seeking information on the whereabouts of three persons wanted on drug charges.

 

On Tuesday, April 6th, at about 5:54 pm, a search warrant was executed at 1621 Jackson St, after information was received from a Crimestoppers tipster about drug activity at the residence. There were no occupants at the residence at the time of the search warrant, but the following items were located. Two loaded semi-automatic handguns, an additional 75 rounds of ammunition, $3000 in cash, drug paraphernalia, and 16.2 grams of cocaine base with a street value of about $20,000. 

 

The two persons wanted in connection with this case are

 

Raymond R. Lewis, 2/26/80, male black.

Charges include Warehousing, Possession of cocaine base with Intent to deliver, Felon in possession of a firearm, Possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of bail jumping.

 

Orlandus A. Lewis, 10/3/73, male black

Charges of Felon in possession of a firearm, and bail jumping. He is currently on bond for delivery of cocaine base.

3/1/2010 - Attempted Armed Robbery

On 1/21/10 at 5:19 pm, officers of the La Crosse Police Department responded to the drive-up banking building of State Bank Financial, 401 Main Street, for an attempted armed robbery that had just occurred. 

 

A single male suspect approached the drive up teller window on foot, passed a note through the teller window drawer, which stated that he had a weapon, and money should be given to him. No weapon was ever displayed, and the suspect fled the area eastbound, when he believed an alarm was set off.

 

The suspect description by employees and photos from the security cameras is:

 

 Male – Hispanic or bi-racial

  • Approx 5’ 6” to 5’ 7” tall
  • Heavier build, 200 pounds
  • Late 20’s to early 30’s in age
  • Wearing dark colored glasses
  • Thin dark moustache, extending just below the corners of his mouth

Clothing Description:

  • Khaki or tan stocking cap
  • Black, puffy jacket
  • Dark colored pants or blue jeans

10/1/2009 - Vehicle vandalism

DATE:  September 22 & 24 / October 4

PLACE:  Onalaska and La Crosse

 

CRIME:  14 vehicles were vandalized.  10 in Onalaska and 4 in La Crosse.  Many had been spray painted or sprayed with oven cleaner.  The letters "RB" were painted on some of the vehicles.  5 of the 14 vehicles were Ford Mustangs.
